About ShamuWare
Shams Mukhtar, Founder and Principal Architect
ShamuWare is a boutique consultancy, not a staffing bench — every engagement is led directly by its founder.
Shams Mukhtar founded ShamuWare after more than 25 years of software-engineering experience, including Principal and Lead Software Engineer roles and solution-architecture leadership on business-critical systems. That work centered on long-term engineering depth: C# and .NET, WPF, .NET MAUI and Xamarin, Microsoft Azure, distributed systems, and mobile applications, alongside the technical leadership needed to keep large systems maintainable over years, not sprints.
More recently, that same architectural judgment has extended into generative AI — retrieval-augmented generation, agentic systems, LangChain and LangGraph, the Model Context Protocol, and enterprise AI architecture more broadly. ShamuWare exists because that combination — deep .NET and Windows platform experience paired with current AI architecture practice — is unusually well suited to companies whose critical software was built a decade or more ago and now needs both stabilizing and extending.
Practically, that means every assessment, roadmap, or fractional-architecture engagement gets direct, senior involvement: the person reviewing your architecture and the person presenting the findings are the same person, and technical tradeoffs are explained in terms an executive can act on — not translated through a project manager or a junior consultant.
What that means for you
Why direct, senior involvement matters
Practical judgment
Recommendations grounded in what's realistic to build and maintain, not just what's technically possible.
Executive-ready explanation
Technical tradeoffs translated into decisions a non-technical stakeholder can evaluate.
Business-critical experience
Work shaped by systems where downtime and bad migrations have real consequences.
